The 2026 MAPL General Membership Meeting and Member Dinner at Boone's Long Lake Inn has been scheduled.
The doors will open at 5:00 PM with a cocktail and social hour. Dinner orders will be taken at 5:45 PM, with dinner service beginning at 6:00 PM. The program and guest speaker will follow at 7:00 PM, with closing remarks at 8:00 PM. Times are tentative and will be confirmed closer to the event.
All event registrants will be provided 2 drink tickets upon check-in. A cash bar will also be available after the drink tickets are gone.
This year's menu will be your choice of the following:
Main Course (1)
- Boone's 12 oz Prime Rib
- Norwegian Salmon
- Full Size (2) Chicken Breast Dinner
- Penne Pasta Primavera (vegetarian option, can be served with chicken or shrimp)
All entrees, with the exception of the pasta, are served with 2 sides of choice. The pasta is served with 1 side of choice.
Side options: house salad, coleslaw, baked potato, french fries, cottage fries, steamed mixed vegetables, and broccoli.
Dessert (1)
- Single scoop of ice cream (french vanilla, Moomer's mint chocolate chip, or Moomer's triple chocolate)
- A slice of Grand Traverse cherry pie
Advance registration is required for the dinner.
Event Cost will be $60 for members, $60 for member guests/spouses and $70 for non-members.
Guests/spouses are welcome and encouraged.
Guest must be registered in advance for the event through the MAPL website.
Featured Speaker — M. Johnny Pinjuv, Partner, Warner Norcross + Judd LLP, Grand Rapids
Johnny will discuss the legal framework emerging around carbon capture and
sequestration in Michigan, including the legislation now moving through Lansing. He
will examine the mineral title issues these projects raise, including questions of
ownership and severed interests, and the practical implications for land professionals
conducting title work.
Johnny Pinjuv is a partner at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP in Grand Rapids, practicing in
real estate, renewable energy, and mining law. He advises clients on complex real estate
transactions and development projects, with particular focus on renewable energy
development, carbon sequestration, mineral rights, and large-scale public/private
projects. Johnny also counsels clients on acquisitions, divestitures, lease negotiations
and general real estate matters throughout Michigan and Illinois. Johnny was named to the
Best Lawyers in America® "Ones to Watch" list for real estate law. He earned his Juris
Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and is admitted to practice
in Michigan and Illinois.
